Mentor Spotlight: Meet Kristin Hodson!
Kristin is the Founder and Executive Director of The Healing Group and co-author of “Real Intimacy: A Couples Guide for Genuine, Healthy Sexuality.” (Cedar Fort, 2011) She is regularly sought out as a media contributor for various outlets, and her social media presence provides a wealth of resources.
Kristin is an AASECT-certified sex therapist and supervisor specializing in sexual shame, LGBTQIA+, mixed-orientation marriage, out-of-control sexual behavior/sex addiction, moral conflict between religion and sexuality, sexuality, and grief, and she consults around complicated cases to provide referrals. Kristin is skilled at helping clients who feel stuck in their relationships and sexual health find creative solutions aligning with their values, working beside them collaboratively with reflective insight, experience, and expertise.
As a supervisor, Kristin supports supervisees not just in gaining the knowledge to be a sex therapist but in an ongoing transformation of the clinical self. She invites supervises to explore cases and counter-transference in a 4-dimensional way through body, mind, heart, and spirit.
